CGW® Coated Abrasive Flap Disc, Contaminant-Free Compact, 4-1/2 in Disc dia, 7/8 in Center Hole, 60 Grit, Medium Grade, C3 Ceramic Abrasive, Type 27 Disc, Polyester Backing, 13300 rpm Maximum, Orange.
Features
- Trimming the backing allows for more of the disc to be used for fewer disc changes and better production rates
- Simply angle the backing edge against a hard metal to expose more flap material
- Stiff backing construction paired with a compacted 4° flap angle make grinding easier, quieter and with less vibration
- Ceramic flap discs are designed to last longer than zirconia flap discs
- Polyester backing material for longer life
- To trim down the backing simply grind the backing edge against a metal edge until the flaps are exposed to the level needed
- Flaps are compressed at a 4° angle for flap edge strength
- Best used at 5 to 20° angle
